EVENT 17
Biggest sale ever: 63,800 items
Best location ever: in a former National Home Center
Best help ever: 20 leaders and 24 Supermoms and over 100 volunteers
Best husband ever: Richard held down the home front and was TOTAL support for me at work too.
Best family ever: Lauren & Ian, Erin and Sheridan worked our busy PreSale and many other hours during the week, including sort. Jordan and Richard helped sort too!
Great sell through, one of my highest fall ever: 63%
I'm thankful, so thankful.

RL Owners Conference 2016
Our company has gotten big. Over 90 RL owners and their spouses and managers were at our 2016 conference at Big Cypress Lodge in the Pyramid in Memphis. This was one of the best venues, minus the taxidermy animal theme all around the lodge. I always have fun spending time with my friends in the business, but several of these ladies are friends that I count among my favorite people in the world.
I also got the chance to speak twice at our event. One was a comedic look at our business that started with "You know you're a Rhea Lana's owner when..." The room was very receptive to my words because we all experience the same humorous things at our events year after year. Dealing with the masses, especially women, can be a funny thing. I also got to share "My Journey." Instead of telling the history of Rhea Lana's of Russellville, I told how I started with Rhea Lana while she was building her business in Conway. She gave me a lot of experience that at the time I thought was all the "small things" but every one of them helped me become an expert in our business. It was a lot of fun for me, I'm one of those crazy people who LIKE to talk in front of people. I enjoyed sharing about how Rhea Lana's huge Central Arkansas events began very small and with a lot of hard work.
It's an amazing business that Rhea Lana has grown. She's actually an introvert who has 80 franchises all over the country and just fought the Federal Government to not be bullied by the labor department! I'm thankful to be a part of this company and I'm thankful to have a sweet spot where I can use my gifts to help families.
Rhea Lana's of Russellville received the top award this year...Franchise of the Year. I was not expecting it and it was huge for me personally. I couldn't wait to tell my leadership team and family. Richard had been in New York for some training and took a flight to Memphis to be with me. He surprised me because he knew the award was coming. He then drove his rental car to Little Rock and picked up his own car and headed home to teach our Connect Class at church at 8am on Sunday!

Springing into Spring
Seriously, best location, most items in a spring event and the highest sell through we've had with this many items ever! My family pitched in, as usual, and helped make rough places smooth. Richard had the littles at home and Mimi and Gramps helped with them a couple days too.
It was supposed to rain all week, but we only had a few times the rain was coming down hard. Even then, customers came in! We had leaks in the building, even then, folks kept shopping. It was a great week!
I'm so thankful for the way God provides for us in this business, to make a difference in the community and get to love on so many families in our area. I didn't take many pictures of this event, it was a whirlwind 11 days and we came out smiling!

Family Business
It wasn't even at my event...but this just proves that our business is DEFINITELY a family business. Rhea Lana had a HUGE event in Conway and even Mimi and Gramps jumped in to help! Lauren and Ian went several days to help out and I trained some new owners on Saturday afternoon. When we first started our businesses we ONLY had family to help, now we're all blessed with great leaders and other volunteers, but it's always a good time when our family jumps in too.

RL Russellville ~ Event 15!
We were so excited to be in the Boys & Girls club for our 15th event in Russellville. It was our first time there and my FIRST time to live in Russellville during an event! The location was wonderful...except that it was super hot somedays as the gym's A/C couldn't keep up with the large room. Heat notwithstanding, we had a wonderful event with over 54,000 items! 650 families consigned with us and we had over 150 volunteers! I'm so thankful for my super team that keeps things running so smoothly. I hired some young people to help people in out of their cars at check in, and help people load things during PreSale. It makes such a difference when you love on people and have great people working for you. I'm thankful for my event, for the opportunity I'm given to love on so many people and for our community!
