Week at a Glance

Ummm.
Not sure what to think about this, considering there is a big snow storm hovering to the west and I can hear sleet on the roof now.

Monday: Richard is in Miami, OK. Erin's Honor's College interview at UCA. Sheridan is staying with a friend here. I'm leaving Cam and Jordan in Atkins with a friend. The kids are out of school for their Mid-Winter break. If the UCA campus is closed, the interview will be postponed. We won't know until the morning.

Tuesday: Richard to Houston. Erin has a Skyped interview for a summer job at Falls Creek.

Wednesday: I'm scheduled to look at houses in Russellville with our realtor. Erin swims at her last meet, at the Jones Center in Springdale. Richard will meet us in Springdale.

Thursday: Richard will drive Erin to All State Choir clinic in Hot Springs. She needs to be there around 9am. They'll leave here by 6am. I have a leader dinner with my Leadership team in the evening.

Friday: Richard goes to Boulder, CO. I read to Cam's class. 5 days until MOVE IN.

Saturday: Richard in Boulder. Erin will have her final All State Choir Performance in Hot Springs. I'll take the kids. 4 days until MOVE IN.

Sunday: Our 4th and final Connect Class. Richard will go to Miami, OK, in the afternoon. Dinner at NLC in Conway for me. 3 days until MOVE IN.

Snow Days

Saturday fun with Dad...I have a great pic of ALL the kids and the snowman...but still can't post their pictures. This particular snowman was made with all the snow in the front yard and was their FIRST EVER. Thankfully the snow caused no problems for the weekend or church.

New Normal?

Tonight we went to our friends' house to watch the Super Bowl. Well, the Super Bowl was on, but the snacks, conversation and laughter are what I enjoyed. It was almost normal, and I am thankful for the moments when real friends ask how we are, and mean it. Things are so much better than two weeks ago, and although we have slip ups (or downs) we seem to be still heading in the right direction.

It's supposed to snow A LOT here this week. Richard will be out of town for 4 days. I'm really having to work on my attitude. I've never been a big grumbler about the weather, hot or cold, but I've had a bad attitude all day about the possibility of snow days. I've got to give God credit for all He is doing in our lives. For the laughter, for the peaceful moments, for the games played, for the friends who have set their phone alarms to pray for us every day, for the cokes from Sonic, for hugs from Erin and for safety for us all. What comes with the weather should not make me anxious, He holds all things together.

SNOW days

LOTS of snow for our part of the world in the last 48 hours! It was the most beautiful, big flaked snow I've ever seen. It would have been the most fun and beautiful snow days ever, but because it started with about 5 hours of sleet it made for some pretty icy streets and driveways. However, the icicles were awesome! School was out Thursday and Friday. Saturday activities were cancelled around the area. Many families didn't make it to church on Sunday and we cancelled AWANA. School was cancelled again Monday, and Tuesday there will be limited bus routes but school will be in session. It's been a wonderful weekend at home with the girls. We've been nesting a bit (re-arranging things in the kids rooms preparing for our newest arrivals), drinking hot chocolate and watching a lot of Christmas movies!
